Dr. Yasmeen Alhasawi is a Clinical Psychologist with over eight years of clinical experience. She is the founder of Resilient Minds Center, providing evidence-based therapeutic approaches to help individuals, couples, and families achieve mental wellness.
Her expertise spans working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in various settings, including community mental health clinics and hospital environments.
Dr. Yasmeen is quadrilingual, offering services in Arabic, English, Farsi, and American Sign Language (ASL).
She has specialized experience working with individuals with disabilities, particularly the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community, and has helped develop a dedicated mental health program for this population.
Dr. Yasmeen received her Doctor of Psychology in Clinical
Psychology (PsyD) and Master of Science degree in Clinical
Psychology at Nova Southeastern University's (NSU) APA
accredited Clinical Psychology doctoral program. She
received her bachelor's degree in psychology at Purdue
University and her master's degree in psychology with a
specialization in Clinical Psychology at Gallaudet
University.

at the Kennedy Krieger Institute at the John's Hopkins
Medical Institution, as well as the Miami VA Hospital and
Psychology Services Center at NSU.
She

Dr. Yasmeen has clinical experience working with children, adolescents and their families in a children's hospital setting during her training at the Kennedy Krieger Institute, at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institution.
Dr. Yasmeen completed her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at the American Psychology Association (APA) accredited program at Nova Southeastern University. Her education and training were entirely completed in the United States.
At Resilient Minds Center (RMC), Dr. Yasmeen offers telehealth services using a HIPAA-certified version of Zoom, allowing clients to attend therapy sessions in a safe and comfortable environment of their choosing.
Dr. Yasmeen completed a research fellowship in Molecular Genetics and Otolaryngology at the Harvard Medical School. Additionally, Dr. Yasmeen was a visiting research scholar at the Neuro-ethics Studies Program at the Center for Clinical Bioethics at Georgetown University. Dr. Yasmeen's research interests are in hearing loss, disability/rehabilitation psychology, working with Middle Eastern population, psycho-oncology, and in trauma psychology.
Dr. Yasmeen has presented her research at conventions for the American Psychological Sciences, National Association of School Psychologists Convention, the Association of Late Deafened Americans, and International Neuroethics Society.
Dr. Yasmeen previously served as an international ambassador to Psi Chi National Honor Society of Psychology as well as an APAGS Campus Ambassador.
Dr. Yasmeen holds memberships in different honor societies and her research had previously been selected as a top abstract at the International Neuroethics Society's annual meeting.
